What’s an EAP?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential workplace benefit that gives employees access to mental health support, counseling referrals, and personal or work-related problem-solving resources — usually at no direct cost to the employee. Most mid-size and large organizations already offer one.
The problem isn't whether you have an EAP. It's whether your employees know it exists, trust it enough to use it, and can actually access it when they need it. Industry data consistently shows most EAPs sit well under 10% utilization — meaning most organizations are paying for a benefit that isn't reaching the people it's meant to help.

The Pattern Interrupt
Quick Question: Do You Know Your Current EAP Utilization Rate?

Most organizations have a handful of managers or directors quietly wrestling with nearly identical challenges ; delegation, difficult conversations, confidence under pressure; with no idea the person two floors down is stuck on the exact same thing. Individual coaching solves this one leader at a time.
Group Coaching solves it for a whole cohort at once, while adding something 1:1 coaching can't: the accountability and shared language that comes from growing alongside peers who understand exactly what you're facing
The Real Problem
This Might Sound Familiar
You have an EAP, but you genuinely don't know how many employees have ever used it.
The EAP was set up by a benefits broker or vendor years ago and hasn't been reviewed since.
Employees don't know the EAP exists, or associate it with stigma, and avoid it as a result.
Managers have never been trained on how or when to refer an employee to the EAP.
You're building out benefits for the first time and want an EAP that's actually used, not just offered.
Leadership wants to know the EAP is providing real ROI, not just a checked compliance box
None of this means your organization dropped the ball. Most EAPs are under-designed by default — built as a line item in a benefits package rather than a strategy with its own plan for awareness, trust, and utilization.

THE APPROACH: THE R.E.E.D. METHOD
This Might Sound Farmiliar
Most EAPs fail for the same reason: they're purchased, not designed. A vendor is selected, a line is added to the benefits guide, and utilization is left to chance. As a licensed psychologist, I approach EAP work differently — treating it as a strategic program with its own design, rollout, and measurement plan, not an afterthought bolted onto open enrollment.

Recovery
We assess your current EAP (or your organization's needs, if you're starting fresh) — utilization data, employee awareness, manager referral patterns, and the real barriers keeping people from using it
E.
Examine
We examine what's structurally preventing utilization: is it awareness, trust, stigma, access, or a mismatch between the program and your actual workforce's needs?
E.
Elevate
We design (or redesign) the EAP strategy; vendor selection or optimization, communication plan, and manager training; built specifically around what we found, not a generic rollout template
D.
Direct
Your organization launches or relaunches the EAP with a real utilization strategy in place, and ongoing advisory support as adoption grows.
